A PROUD MEMBER!
Everyone always wants to know what they can and can't use when it comes to artwork. I know, I used to snatch it up and create online galleries of my favorite anime! So let me please lay out all of answers to all of your questions pertaining to the usage of my web graphics and art. I ask for just a little bit of your time to read through these so that we can curve away from problems in the future. Thank you!

Avatars, Website Decoration, Non-Profit Sites

For all of these please do not alter any of the images.

I have no issue with my artwork being used for forum avatars and profile images. But I do ask that you place my name and a link back to my site in your posting signature or if its for a profile image in the profile description. It should look something like this Artwork © Sara M Butcher http://www.dreamflierstudios.com.

For usage on a website please feel free to use a couple to decorate! For example an image in your menu bar, or an intoductory image. Again all I ask for in return is recognition and a link back directly below the image you are using. Artwork © Sara M Butcher http://www.dreamflierstudios.com . Very important! Please don't hot link to my images. My bandwith can't handle it, which in turn if I loose bandwidth your image on your site may not show! Bad for both parties. So please download the image onto your harddrive and then reupload it to your site. Thanks so much!

Printing & Reproduction
This is an obvious no, please don't do it. The reason is I offer prints and I have licensing partners that offer many other products with my images on them. If you print off from my site or reproduce my prints you are infringing on me and my partners which demands a call for lawsuit. No one wants to deal or pay for that so lets make sure we don't go there. If you by chance come across my work being reproduced or sold and you don't find the licensor's company or name on this site, please notify me as soon as you can!

Signatures, Tags, & Tubes

Being an online gamer (back in the day), using an image in your signature was HUGE! It gave everyone a visual as to who or what you looked like. Totally cool right? The great news is now there's a way for both parties, user and artist, to distribute and add theses niffty characteristics! It's by teaming up with C.I.L.M!

They make it easy, convienant, and the work they do is awesome! Once you purchase a sig, tag, or tube its yours to use for life IF you follow all of their rules and regulations...so make sure you read those. It's inexpensive and credits me, the artist, for you.

Just visit, find the work you want, click, and pay. All online! You can make phone orders, paypal orders, even money order/check orders. Also they have a great community that you can join and there's just so much there you'll spend at least an hour browsing!

For Tattoos

Very popular! Already I have had several orders for tattoo designs and permission to use images for tattoos. I have no problem allowing my work to be used as a tattoo design (for non-profit only). There is a proceedure for releasing an image to be a tattoo, but don't worry, it hurts far less than the tattoo itself.

There are two things you can do, but you have to do one or the other.

  1. Purchase a print and in the comments section of CHECKOUT please indicate that you will be using this for a tattoo. I will then send you a personal email with a contract/terms attached and the small fee notice. Yes, there's a tiny fee...you're buying the rights to use the image for life (assuming you keep the tattoo). Reply with your agreement and you're good to go.
  2. Email me and tell me what image you want to use as a tattoo. I will then send you the contract/terms with the small fee notice and once you reply with your agreement all will be billed together.

I also take tattoo requests. Having a design background I love creating celtic knot work, symbols, etc. The request is also a great way to have a piece you really want...but just the line art. I keep my sketches (most of them) and can easily recreate the image with just line. The options are endless! Please contact me for any inquries.

Thats it! If you have any more questions that weren't answered here, please email me at sara@dreamflierstudios.com
